The fries here are mind blowing. The Parmesan truffle fries are delicious and the siracha aioli that comes with the sweet potato fries had the perfect kick. I could eat a bowl of the fries here and die happy. I didn't try the burgers but they looked good. In the photos below each of the fries is a small so it was perfect for a side.
I absolutely love this place. Their OG burger is fantastic and the homemade thousand island dressing is delicious. The service is always great. The awesome decor of artwork is really pleasing. I'm so sad this place is closing at the end of the month. They have great milkshakes, including boozy ones. Get it while you still can.
Upon recommendation, we enjoyed two of the best cheeseburger we've had in a very long time! And cheese curds were delicious. My wife was impressed with her amazing chocolate shake. Our waiter, Oggie, was extremely attentive and made several recommendations we enjoyed. Next time in Madison, first place to stop for dinner.
Stopped at DLUX for brunch on a Saturday around noon. It was surprisingly not very busy. The best part of my meal was the Bloody Mary. I thoroughly enjoyed their bloody mix, I do recommend ordering it spicy though. Our food was decent as well, we tried two different types of smash burger which were good but with the OG smash burger, the bun got very soggy which made it messy and slightly unpleasant. The taste was good though. Overall the food was good but service was subpar. We ordered beer chasers with our Bloody Mary and we never got them. We also ordered and appetizer that never came. Our server did apologize but he seemed pretty spacey. Overall, decent meal but not rushing to go back.
DLUX is a vibey bar with great food and atmosphere. My family has dined here on several occasions and have never had a bad experience. The service is always friendly and speedy, and the food is always of good quality and flavors. We got the cheese curds to start, which is a MUST! They have some of the best cheese curds in madison hands down! I forgot to take a picture before we scarfed them down! For dinner we had the chicken sandwich, smokeshow burgers, and a black and blue chicken burger. The chicken sandwich was covered in regular mustard which didn't work very well, but everything else was great! The truffle fries had a sort of truffle cream sauce on them which I would have preferred on the side rather than coated on top. I love a good homemade chip, but i'm not sure if someone forgot to put the seasoning on the "seasoned" chips. The shakes are always spectacular with local sassy cow ice cream! Overall, DLUX is a DLISH local spot!
We were looking for something downtown Madison, this looked like our type of place. Glad we went, the food was very good, and staff gave good suggestions. A decent beer and drink selection. We walked, so can't say parking, but keep in mind it's downtown, so parking is interesting. Will definitely go back.
Popped in here early on a Wednesday evening (around 4 p.m.), was seated immediately, and had a pretty good dinner. The cheese curds were a yummy starter -- light, hot, and not too gooey. I ordered The Standard Burger for an entree and it was just that. Standard. No frills, just a decent burger. You could get that type of burger anywhere and for a cheaper price, but I wasn't disappointed. My partner ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and he said it was good, but nothing remarkable. I would actually say the highlight of our meal was the sweet potato fries (a last-minute addition). They were super crispy and seasoned well too. It definitely elevated a pretty average meal. The restaurant itself is nice. Lots of space, cool round booths that offer a bit of privacy. The service was good too. Kylie, our server, was friendly and attentive. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at DLUX. But it was really pricey (about $60 pre-tip for two people and no alcohol), so I'm not sure it would be the first place I recommend to someone.
Conveniently located near the Capitol. Lots of choices for beer and cider on tap. Many options for drinks. One can sit at the bar because it's comfortable and spacious. The food was excellent. We started with fried pickles. Then we had a Farm house burger and the black bean burger. The fries were great too. Sweet potato and regular fries with many options for dips. Nice place for any occasion
I dined in here on a weekday evening. The place was kind of empty. May be this is a breakfast place. Cookies and creams milkshake was the best thing I had here. It was really thick and delicious. It doesnt work with straw, you need to scoop with a spoon. I had couple of burgers - sunrise and spicy hawaian. Both were decent. Spicy hawaiian was the better one. Truffle fries was good as well.
